The CaratLane site started with a strong customer base and good sales even without any advertising since it had the killer combination of great product at unbeatable prices but also because the site gave potential buyers a sense of professionalism, trustworthiness and efficiency.


The key to a successful e-commerce experience in this case is an easy search through the inventories of the dealer network and a satisfying buying experience.

The CaraLane site is more than just a diamond store – it is a front end for a network of hundreds of diamond dealers around the world and allows potential buyers to search for the best deal from huge inventories.

From the front-end, the customer would only see the face of the CaratLane brand while at the back end a very complex network of logistics had to be managed including the search, procurement of diamonds from the dealers, having them set as required by the customer and door delivered.
